Lynn Diettrich
Founder and Director of Diettrich Farm, Horse Sanctuary and Retreat
At Diettrich Farm dreams and opportunities meet. Their focus on the evolution of horsemanship is what sets them apart from other barns.
In Lynn’s words: “We value the horse's perception, and we treat each horse as an ambassador for education and self awareness. With those values in mind, we provide a comfortable environment where the horse and rider can feel safe and stress-free. It is in this environment that you are able to truly develop a deep bond with the horse that leads to increased comfort, self-confidence, and enjoyment.
At Diettrich Farm, we pride ourselves on providing a top-notch riding environment to support our year-round programming for children and adults. Our 15-acre farm features a 160-by-60 indoor arena, large round pen, and direct access to 13 miles of groomed trails in the adjacent state park. We also have a very comfortable indoor retreat, event, and educational space with a kitchen and washroom—a great place to gather when weather is bad. We provide a heated wash rack, locked tack room, and plenty of grazing areas where you can sit and relax with your horse after a nice trail ride”
There’s no place quite like Diettrich Farm. Tucked away in the countryside of Salem, Wisconsin, the farm’s secluded location allows for a peaceful environment for people of all ages to surround themselves with nature and embrace farm life. We offer horseback riding lessons, camps, local and national retreats, and horse boarding.
Owned and operated by Lynn Diettrich, Diettrich Farm has been in business since 1987. Our facilities include top-notch amenities and riding areas for you to enjoy, including an indoor arena, observation deck, multiple tack rooms, event and educational space and more.
All of our clients also get direct access to 13 miles of trails inside the state park next door, the Richard Bong State Recreation Area.
